The Venus Optics Laowa 7.5mm T2.9 Cine Zero-D S35 is an ultra-wide rectilinear cine lens designed specifically for Super 35 cameras and camcorders with a Fuji X mount.
Ultra-Wide Perspective and Zero-D Technology
With an angle of view of 123°, this lens is tailored for expansive establishing shots, architectural cinematography, and filming in confined spaces. The integrated Zero-D technology corrects optical distortion, keeping straight lines aligned throughout the frame. A minimum focusing distance of 25 cm allows comfortable close-up work.
Optical Design and Cinema Ergonomics
The optical configuration includes 16 elements in 10 groups, featuring both ED and aspherical glass elements to suppress chromatic aberrations and maintain clarity. The T2.9 maximum aperture and 7-blade iris provide shallow depth of field control in available light.
- Standard 0.8 MOD pitch gears on focus and aperture rings allow direct integration with follow focus systems.
- Stepless aperture ring ensures smooth, silent exposure transitions during recording.
- Front design supports standard 77mm screw-in filters and accessories.
