The Venus Optics Laowa 10 mm f/4.0 Cookie is an ultra-wide rectilinear pancake lens designed for APS-C format mirrorless cameras with the Nikon Z mount.
Pancake Design and Ultra-Wide Coverage
Weighing just 130 g and measuring Ø59.8 x 25 mm, the lens provides an expansive 109.3° angle of view in a remarkably small footprint. Its optical formulation retains horizontal and vertical straight lines with ultra-low distortion, making it suitable for landscape, architectural, and street photography.
Optics, Close Focus, and Filter Compatibility
The optical system features 12 elements in 8 groups, including 2 aspherical and 4 ultra-low dispersion elements to control flares and aberrations. A minimum focusing distance of 10 cm allows close-range shooting, while the 5-blade aperture produces 10-point sunstars. Front 37 mm threading enables direct screw-in filter attachment.
