The Yongnuo YN 50 mm f/1.8 is a fixed-focal-length standard lens engineered for full-frame cameras with the Nikon F mount, while also fully functional with APS-C sensor cameras.
Optics and Background Blur
The optical system consists of 6 elements arranged in 5 groups, delivering a 46-degree field of view. The bright f/1.8 maximum aperture paired with a 7-blade diaphragm produces a shallow depth of field and smooth background blur for portraits.
Focusing and Controls
Equipped with a built-in autofocus mechanism, the lens achieves a minimum focusing distance of 0.45 metres (45 cm). The barrel includes an MF/AF mode switch, a manual focus ring, and a 58 mm filter thread for screw-on filters.
