The Venus Optics Laowa 85mm f/5.6 2x Ultra Macro APO is a compact full-frame macro lens engineered for Leica M mount mirrorless cameras, offering a 2:1 reproduction ratio and focusing from 16.3 cm to infinity.
Apochromatic Optics and Image Clarity
Its optical system consists of 13 elements arranged in 9 groups, incorporating 3 extra-low dispersion glass elements. This apochromatic (APO) design effectively suppresses chromatic aberration and distortion in both in-focus and out-of-focus areas for high contrast and sharp detail.
Internal Focusing and Metal Construction
Equipped with internal focusing technology, all optical movements occur entirely within the durable metal barrel. The overall physical length remains constant during operation, facilitating filter handling and providing enhanced resistance against dust ingress.
- Double 2:1 magnification with a 16.3 cm minimum focusing distance
- Full-frame coverage with mirrorless Leica M mount compatibility
- Internal focusing mechanism with consistent physical barrel length
- 46 mm front filter thread for attaching protective filters and hoods
