The Venus Optics Laowa OOOM 25-100mm T2.9 is a cinema zoom lens designed for Super 35+ sensor cameras. Featuring a versatile 4x optical zoom range and a constant T2.9 transmission, it serves as a flexible all-in-one solution capable of replacing multiple prime lenses on production sets.
Filmmaking Ergonomics and Optical Performance
Engineered specifically for motion picture production, the lens offers stepless aperture control for silent and smooth exposure adjustments. The focus, zoom, and iris rings feature industry-standard 0.8 pitch gears for integration with follow focus units and motors. A parafocal optical build ensures focus remains locked onto your subject while adjusting focal lengths, while focus breathing is minimized to preserve framing during focus pulls.
Mount Versatility and Build
Supplied natively with an Arri PL mount, the lens includes interchangeable Canon EF and Sony E bayonets alongside the tools required for swapping them. The Laowa OOOM covers Super 35+ formats seamlessly, including RED Monstro (6K HD), Gemini (5K HD), Helium (8K HD), and Arri Alexa Mini (4K UHD). It delivers a close focusing distance of 60 cm and comes with a rugged protective carrying case.
