The Venus Optics Laowa C&D-Dreamer 10mm f/2.0 Zero-D for Micro 4/3 is an extremely small, ultra wide-angle prime lens designed for Micro 4/3 system cameras. Combining a 10mm focal length with a bright f/2.0 maximum aperture and a lightweight 125 g build, it is well suited for general photography, vlogging, and drone setups.
Zero-D Technology and Optical Build
Engineered with Zero-D technology, the lens maintains straight horizontal and vertical lines across the frame with minimal distortion, making it particularly advantageous for architectural subjects. Its optical formula comprises 11 elements in 7 groups with a broad 96° angle of view.
Camera Control and Close-Up Focusing
- Electronic aperture control: adjust the aperture directly from the camera body and record Exif metadata in image files.
- Focus assist activation: turning the manual focus ring automatically engages camera zoom focus assistance.
- Close-up focusing: focuses down to a minimum distance of 12 cm for near-field framing.
- 10-point sunstars: the 5-blade aperture diaphragm renders 10-point star effects around light sources when stopped down.
