The Venus Optics Laowa 90mm f/2.8 Ultra Macro APO is a full-frame macro lens engineered for mirrorless cameras with the Sony E mount. Providing a 2:1 reproduction ratio and focusing from a minimum distance of 205 mm to infinity, it is suitable for macro, product, and portrait photography.
Apochromatic Optical Design
The optical structure comprises 13 elements in 10 groups, including 3 extra-low dispersion (ED) elements. The apochromatic (APO) system suppresses chromatic aberration and distortion across in-focus and out-of-focus areas.
Internal Focusing and Handling
Equipped with an internal focusing design, the lens maintains a constant overall barrel length during focus adjustments. A 13-blade aperture provides smooth, rounded background blur.
